When is bluebonnet season in Houston?
Bluebonnet season is short and changes every year. Some years the fields peak in March, other years in April, depending on rain and temperatures over the winter. Peak bloom usually lasts only two to three weeks, which is why dates are never fixed in advance.
Where do bluebonnet sessions take place?
The best fields move from year to year. The most reliable areas are around Brenham and Katy. Before opening bookings, Polly personally visits the fields to make sure the flowers are dense, the location is safe for children and the light works at golden hour. Families come from Houston, Katy, Sugar Land, Cypress, Fulshear and The Woodlands.
Bluebonnet mini session or full session?
Mini session (from $499): 20–30 minutes and 5 edited images. Several families are photographed one after another on the same day, at the field Polly selected. The client closet is not included, but gowns can be rented for $50 (one) or $75 (two).
Full session (from $1,295): a private session reserved only for your family, with more time, more variety and the client closet included.

What to wear for bluebonnet photos
Soft neutrals look beautiful against the blue fields: cream, ivory, beige, light blue and dusty pink. Choose flowing fabrics and delicate textures, and avoid logos and busy patterns.
